Vulfpeck at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Are you ready for the night of your lives? Well get ready because Vulfpeck is coming to the Red Rocks Amphitheater on Saturday July 5th to Rock your world! They need no introduction but just in case you are new to Vulfpeck they are an American funk band that was founded in 2011, made up of Jack Stratton on keyboard, drums and guitar and the leader and creator of the group, Theo Katzman a multi-instrumentalist, who plays the guitar and is on drums as well as occasional vocals, Wood Goss on the keyboards and bass and last but not least, Joe Dart the master bassist who is ranked as the 5th best bassist for the No Trebles.

The band aims for simple and minimal sounds where each instrument contributes but does not dominate! Vulfpeck gained recognition in 2014 where they released a silent album titled “Sleepify” that exposed a loophole in the Spotify royalty distribution, this album and loophole went on to fund an admission free tour for them. They were also one of the first groups to ever sell out at Madison square garden without having a backing label or a manager.

They are often out touring and collaborating with artists such as Cory Wong, Joey Dosik and Antwan Stanley. In 2011 they released “Beastly” as a YouTube video and the track went on to get noticed and No treble an online magazine noted the bass of the hit. in 2015 they released “thrill of the arts” which featured contributions by several artist, Jim Fusilli from the wall street Journal had noted that the music was ‘gritty, in your face, not prettified funk and they play with fire’ he also said it was homage to old school funk and soul music.
