Progressive rock heavyweights Coheed and Cambria & Taking Back Sunday are teaming up for the most exciting co-headlining trek of the year. The bands are hitting the road and making their way to the Red Rocks Amphitheater on Friday 12th September 2025.
Made up of Claudio Sanchez (Vocals / Guitar), Travis Stever (Guitar), Josh Eppard (Drums) and Zach Cooper (Bass), Coheed and Cambria has dominated airwaves and gripped listeners around the world with their own brand of music. Meanwhile, Taking Back Sunday are constantly winning over audiences with their fresh perspective on rock. Formed in 1999, the New York three piece is composed of John Nolan, Adam Lazzara, and Shaun Cooper. The announcement of the tour comes on the heels of Coheed and Cambria’s teased track “Someone Who Can” from their forthcoming album The Father of Make Believe. When asked about the meaning behind the track, Claudio Sanchez said, “When you’re growing up, you’re perpetually trying to understand the world that’s changing around you. Over time, it’s comforting to reach the conclusion that you’ll never truly have things figured out.”

Hot off the reels… Coheed and Cambria have shared a brand new single “Someone Who Can” from their forthcoming album The Father of Make Believe. And we’re obsessed already! Set for release March 14th via Virgin Music Group, the song follows the previously shared The Father of Make Believe singles.

The New York progressive-rock band previously teased “Blind Side Sonny” and “Searching For Tomorrow.” At the end of last year, Coheed and Cambria also issued Claudio Covers, which features eight tracks reimagined by main songwriter and lead guitarist Claudio Sanchez, such as “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure and “Welcome To New York” by Taylor Swift, and more.
“Someone Who Can” is one of the band’s best songs in their 24 year epic career. This summer, Coheed and Cambria are teaming up with Taking Back Sunday for a super exciting co-headline North American tour. The 25-date road trip will kick start on August 16 in St. Louis, make its way to iconic venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater on September 12, before wrapping up on September 21 with a performance in Seattle. Support will come from Foxing.
The new trek will follow Coheed and Cambria's previously announced co-headline The Infinite Arc North American tour with Atlanta sensations Mastodon in the spring. In fall, Taking Back Sunday will also feature at Las Vegas festival When We Were Young this October. The group most recently dropped the awesome album, 152. Considering it's their first album in seven years, you can imagine the hype.
