Tash Sultana at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Red Rocks is happy to welcome Tash to the lineup of shows this summer. We’ll be able to catch them at The Rocks on Friday, June 20th for a special, standalone, one night only show in Morrison, and we can’t wait! Tash Sultana is the 30 year old Melbourne born singer, songwriter, and producer who has been lighting up the scene since they broke out with the legendary single, Jungle, in 2016. Sultana is known for their voice and lyrics that are so sweet yet sharp as a tack, and the fact that they produce all of the music by themselves -  from the instruments to the lyrics to the ambiance. And it makes sense - Sultana began playing instruments when they was 3, and has been putting music on Bandcamp since they were seventeen. Millions of listens and youtube views later, Tash released her 2016 ep titled Notion, and went on a world tour in 2017 following its success.

Tash is often seen as genre-blurring, and ultimately an artist who refused to conform to the norms of the music industry and what a typical musician should do or play. And this attitude towards the profession has won Sultana acclaim across the world - they have worked with a host of spectacular Australian based artists, and they have been on both the Australian based ARIA and Triple J charts. Tash has toured and wowed crowds across the world - most notably in The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Canada, and of course - The U.S. Sultana played at Red Rocks last in 2019, and their music and approach to live shows has changed plenty since then -  so you know this show is going to be the welcome back of a lifetime, a new era. 

In the Rolling Stone Australia cover story they did back in 2021, Tash said “I am me and I would never live a life that I am truthfully, if I wasn’t fully and utterly, and unapologetically the person that I am…And I encourage everybody else to be that way. Because you’ll never ever live your fullest truth and desire and really achieve success unless you’re truthful with yourself,”.

Tash Sultana is the moment - and they are truly only beginning to heat up on the global stage. Completely and utterly themselves, Tash gives it all every night they choose to perform. Now, at one of the newest heights of their career, we can only ask - what’s next? We’re not sure, but we are positive we will find out more at Red Rocks this June.
