The Marley Brothers are offsprings of legendary Jamaican reggae artist Bob Marley. The brothers, comprising Ziggy Marley, Stephen Marley, Damian Jr. “Gong” Marey,” and Ky-Mani Marley, recently released a new song titled “Cornerstone.” The song, a cover of Bob Marley’s 1970 single, is the first music the brothers have released together in over a decade. Over the years, The Marley Brothers headlined a number of major festivals in North America, including The Root Rocks Reggae Festival, Glastonbury, the recent CaliVibes Festival, and the 2021 Bob Marley 75th Anniversary Celebration.
The Marley Brothers, all acclaimed musicians, have been known to perform their father’s hits. Bob Marley was a prolific reggae, ska, and rocksteady artist who sold over 75 million records worldwide. His distinct vocals and knack for songwriting. The Marley Brothers’ have been known to cover “Could You Be Loved,” “No Woman No Cry,” “One Love,” and “I Shot the Sherrif,” among others.
The Marley Brother includes Bob’s oldest son, Ziggy Marley, who became a prolific artist. He formerly led the family band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, which includes Stephen Marley and his sisters Sharon and Cedella Marley. The Grammy Award-winning group emerged in 1979 and released several hits like “Tomorrow People,” “Look Who’s Dancin’,” “More Power to Ya,” and “Tumblin’ Down.” In 2009, the group disbanded, and Ziggy pursued his solo career. Ziggy released 13 highly-regarded albums, earning five Grammy Awards and an Emmy Award.
