Red Rocks Amphitheatre
The electronic music event that’s coming to the Red Rocks Amphitheater is gonna be off the charts! You’re going to have a chance to stand in an amphitheater carved into the rocks with some of the best acoustics imaginable, listening to an impressive line-up of world-class DJs! Above & Beyond are headlining this event in Morrison, Colorado, on Friday, the 25th of October 2024. Doors open at 6, and from the word go there’s going to be electronic music blasting onto the rocks. It’s gotta be one of the best experiences of the year.
Alex Sonata & TheRio, the Scottish/ Italian duo, will be one of the warm-up acts. By the time these guys take the stage, though, you and your friends in the crowd will likely be warm already. They promise to play sounds from their recent Anjunabeats Worldwide 11 compilation. It’s a very “clubby” track that anyone can enjoy, nothing too over the top that could be only for niche fans.
Amy Wiles is also going to be performing on that night in October. She’s got a very tropical style to many of her mixes. This is evident in her newest track, “For You.” Her style falls right along the lines of what you can expect from Above & Beyond and even Alex Sonata & TheRio. Generally, these performers create a chill environment that’s easy to vibe to.
Anamē are coming back to the Red Rocks Amphitheater. If you were at their last performance, you know that they can be very versatile with their tracks. A lot of the ones that feature that piano background allow you to even sort of self-regulate in the middle of the concert. When you’re going to be listening to this type of music all afternoon, this is a very welcome experience. Then they can crack things up, though. It’s going to be interesting to see how they play the crowd in late October.
Genix is the last opening act that’s at least listed on the official event poster. This UK native has been playing around the world for years now. He’s also got a ton of experience in the underground rave scenes. This is not going to be his first rodeo by any stretch of the imagination. He’s got some sick beats up his sleeve to pump up the crowd. Arguably, he goes a bit harder than some of the other warm-up acts.
Of course, Above & Beyond are who most people are eager to see. The entire experience, though with a well-rounded line-up and the amazing venue, promises to create a memorable night. These tickets are going to fly! You want to hit the get tickets button early, so you’re all set come October 25th!
Above & Beyond are one of those OG DJs that are still making the rounds on tours. They’ve been in the ranking that DJ Magazine puts out of the best DJs in the world since 2004. That’s 20 uninterrupted years that they’ve been considered one of the top performers in electronic music! The duo topped out at #4 on the list a spot that they kept for two years running. That was around 2008. Those years were truly when electronic music went mainstream, and these guys were in the middle of the revolution. That’s why they’re called upon to headline events like the one taking place on October 25th at the Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Currently, their most listened-to track on Spotify is Blue Monday. That’s actually a single they put out in 2020. It’s going to be very interesting to see how they mix in some of their older tracks that are going to appeal to maybe you and your friends who’ve been fans of the duo for a while with some of the newer music and how that impacts the roar of the crowd and the vibe of the entire event.
As mentioned, doors are at six, and most of the Red Rocks Amphitheater, at least on that night, will be accessible via a general admission ticket. You want to get there early so that you can find a good spot near the stage. The problem is, the night can get long! If you’re coming as a group, it may be a good idea to have some strategies to pace yourselves so that you can be fresh at the end of the night when Above and Beyond hits the stage. Having some of the warm-up acts put in chill tropical tracks is going to be a great idea to help the entire crowd get to that late show in stride!
If you’ve been a fan of these guys since the mid-2000s, getting one of the reserved spots right next to the stage could be ideal. Not just because you’re going to get to see the acts up close, which is always a cool experience. It could also allow you to enter the concert a little later in the night. That way, you won’t have to show your endurance as much! Whatever you decide to do, make sure to hit that get tickets button early. We’ve said it already, and we’ll say it again! This is one of the best electronic music events of the year, especially in this part of the country. Get your tickets before they run out!
