If you didn’t already know, Amy Schumer is an incredibly popular stand up comedian, actress, writer, producer, and director. Talk about being multi-talented!! Amy Schumer burst onto the comedy circuit in the early 2000s, before starring as a contestant on the fifth season of the NBC reality competition show Last Comic Standing in 2007. From 2013 until 2016, she was the creator, co-producer, co-writer, and star of the smash hit Comedy Central sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer. The show was such a hit that it took home a Peabody Award and was nominated for an impressive five Primetime Emmy Awards, winning Outstanding Variety Sketch Series in 2015.
Amy Schumer wrote and made her movie debut in a starring role in 2015’s Trainwreck, clinching a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. The comic then featured in the comedy movies, 2017’s Snatched, and 2019’s I Feel Pretty. Amy Schumer then created, produced and starred in the 2020 HBO documentary series Expecting Amy, as well as the Hulu comedy-drama series Life & Beth from 2022 until 2024.
Amy Schumer made her Broadway debut starring in Steve Martin's comedic play Meteor Shower. This was another huge hit with fans and critics alike, earning a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play nomination. What’s more, the comedy heavyweight has also received two Grammy Award nominations for Best Comedy Album for Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo, and Best Spoken Word Album for narrating her The New York Times Best Selling memoir, 2016’s The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo.
