The Red Rocks Amphitheater of Morrison Colorado just outside of Denver is so excited to welcome Beck and Molly Lewis to the stage with our very own Colorado Symphony for his North American Orchestral Tour. With nine cities planned across North America and a handful of warm up shows around the world, Beck is primed and ready to give us one of the best shows of his career.
Beck is the iconic and everlasting mainstay of pop and rock music that we’ve all heard on the radio before but didn’t realize we were bumping along to. Beck, the Los Angeles born singer songwriter and record producer, rose to stardom in the early 90s for his experimental sounds and lo-fi style that became the mainstays of early 2000s pop and genres that branch off of pop. After releasing his single Loser in 1993 and breaking the Billboard Top 10 with the hit, Beck propelled into stardom and commercial fame. Now, with fourteen albums on the books, countless features, and unreleased tracks that fans have found - his discography is deep. He skates through many genres with ease, including pop, anti folk, rock, and hop hop, and there’s no telling how he will combine his eclectic taste with The Colorado Symphony - which is why we’re so excited for this show! Fans online who saw him last year rave about his orchestral interpretations of his sound, so you know the show is going to be absolutely fire.
Pairing with Beck is the self-proclaimed Whistler-in-Chief Molly Lewis. And though she’s opening for Beck, respectfully, Ms.Lewis has a cult following that can drive up attendance to any venue she chooses to play at. She’ll actually be fresh off her own U.S. tour before she joins us in July (and back-to-back shows at The Rocks in May), and her eclectic approach to the music game is so fresh and new, it’s insane that most of her songs have no real lyrics in them - just whistling and vibes! If you’ve never heard any of Molly’s music before - stop what you’re doing, do your research, and get ready for her show with Beck and The Symphony this summer!
We’ve probably said this before, but this show is actually one you don’t want to snooze on. A pop star legend still pumping out amazing hits with his genre bending style, a new age Whistler who has been crushing the game with her nostalgia-esque sounds, and The Colorado Symphony sandwiched between the two - and you’ll quickly realize this is the most interesting show of the summer, hands down. Go ahead and get your tickets, and we’ll see you in The Rocks on July 27th!
