The tightness, prowess, and chemistry Big Head Todd and The Monsters have on stage can only come from spending a LOT of time performing together - nearly four decades, to be exact. What started as a touring band in the mid-1980s, developed into a force to be reckoned with with the release of their debut album, ‘Another Mayberry’, in 1989. Their 1993 album, ‘Sister Sweetly’, was the first of their collection to achieve platinum status, spawning the charting singles ‘Broken Hearted Savior’, ‘Bittersweet’, and ‘Circle’. To date, Big Head Todd and The Monsters have released 12 studio albums, of which their latest, ‘Her Way Out’, dropped last year - the first album in 7 years.
When it comes to Big Head Todd and The Monsters live in concert, few can hold their own against them. Even if you’ve seen them in concert before, you’ll have to go again, because every show is unique - these guys improvise up a storm, meaning that no two renditions of an older tune, new song, or audience request are ever the same. They literally slay their audiences with musicianship unlike any other and hits that smash a range of chords and colours, and if you wondered - yes, they can outshine the big guys any day! It’s literally a feast of blues-drenched rock and roll bangers that are sure to make you rev the engine a little louder, crank the volume a little higher, and live a little freer.
Big Head Todd and The Monsters will be joined by the legendary rock outfit, Cheap Trick, known for smashers such as ‘I Want You to Want Me’ and ‘If You Want My Love’, and 90s rock icons Cracker, known to bring the flames with bangers such as ‘Teen Angst’ and ‘Low’.
