Duran Duran is an English rock band specializing in danceable, synthetic music that was presented with visual flare and embodied the stylish, modern side of the new wave. During the 80s, their innovation in music video creation was their ace to making a mark in the music scene, as seen in their music videos of their early releases of "Rio" and "Hungry Like the Wolf." They have strengthened their grip on pop culture as time went on. This resulted in them selling over 100 million records, establishing themselves as part of the best-selling bands in music history. They had 30 top 40 hits on the UK Singles Chart (14 of which were in the top 10) and 21 top 40 songs on the US Billboard Hot 100. Currently, their lineup consists of original founding members John Taylor and other popular members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor. They were recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame for the Class of 2022.
One of the musicians that shape today's pop music is Nile Rodgers. His pioneering work in the disco genre and developing the now guitarist staple "chucking" style. He has gifted the world with records like David Bowie's "Let's Dance," Madonna's "Like A Virgin," Duran Duran's "The Reflex," and many more. In 2014, his influence was immense, and Rolling Stone admitted that "the full scope of Nile Rodgers' career is still hard to fathom." Due to his exceptional work, he is honored as part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and received six Grammy Awards in his long career.
Bastille has established itself in the pop rock landscape of the 2010s by fusing slick '80s synth sounds with inviting choruses. Pioneered by Dan Smith, the group currently consists of Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson, and Chris "Woody" Wood. The band has released exhilarating albums such as "Bad Blood" (2013), "Wild World" (2016), "Doom Days" (2019), and "Give Me The Future" (2022).
Taking each of their brilliance to the Red Rocks Amphitheater on Monday, August 28, the three trailblazing artists are all must-sees. Score your tickets now by hitting the "Get Tickets" link.
