Margaret Debay Rogers, born April 25, 1994, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Easton, Maryland. She became well-known after Pharrell Williams, the artist-in-residence, heard her song "Alaska" performed live in a master class at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 2016. She has released two studio albums, Heard It in a Past Life (2019) and Surrender (2022), as well as two independent albums, The Echo (2012) and Blood Ballet (2014). In 2020, she received a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist.

Carrie Brownstein, Patti Smith, Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, and Björk have inspired this young artist. Rogers claims that Brandi Carlileand Sharon Van Etten, her "musical big sisters" are her mentors.

Rogers signed a recording contract with Capitol Records where "she licenses her music to them through her own imprint, Debay Sounds." As a result, she has more control over her sound and image than many artists at a similar stage in their music careers.[6] Record labels tried to sign her after the Pharrell video went viral in 2016.
On February 17, 2017, Rogers' EP, Now That the Light Is Fading, was made available. On January 18, 2019, she released Heard It in a Past Life, her major-label debut studio album. On the US Billboard 200, the album debuted at number two.

On February 15, 2017, Rogers made her debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On November 3, 2018, she made her debut on Saturday Night Live and Today Show debut on July 12, 2019.

The Taylor Swift song "Tim McGraw" was recorded by Rogers as a Spotify single in April 2019.
She performed as a guest at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 1, 2019, alongside the rock group Dead & Company, which is made up of former members of the Grateful Dead. They covered the songs "Friend of the Devil" and "The Weight" by the Band.

Rogers received a nomination for the 62nd Grammy Awards in November 2019 in the category of Best New Artist.

Because of the COVID-19 outbreak in the US, Rogers performed remotely from Scarborough, Maine during the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

Since then, this young artist has captivated so many fans of different ages with her angelic voice, undeniable talent, and stunning performances.
