Mersiv at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Forcing the evolution of EDM since he first appeared at Electric Forest in 2018, Mersiv's biggest headline show ever is coming... And it will be an audiovisual experience that will abduct Red Rocks. Partnering with AKA Event Productions to bring Electronica audiences a brand-new experience, one that has never been done at the Red Rocks. "We are excited to showcase a potentially new idea that, to our knowledge, hasn't been done at this venue," said Andrew Kirschman, the owner of AKA Event Productions, and the front-of-house engineer for the Mersiv Sound Project. "This year, we thought of a way to bring the audio to each listener, so the audio is going to be surrounding the audience," Mersiv teased.

Similar to the setup created for the Caverns in Tennessee, an object-based surround sound system will be placed from the bottom to the top on each side of the audience, all pointing inwards to the crowd, with minimal overlap. "Our objective with this version of the audiosphere is going to be to create a near field listening experience, one like you might have at a studio for everyone, whether you're in the front row or at the top of the amphitheater," Kirschman said.
