Blues and indie rock band, Mt. Joy, has released numerous highly-acclaimed studio efforts since their emergence in 2016. The band’s entry into the music world was their debut single, “Astrovan,” in which the collaboration among friends and peers turned into what would be a phenomenal five-piece band. The song, along with their sophomore single, “Sheep,” gained massive traction on streaming platforms and secured the band slots in major festivals like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Newport Folk Festival. Moreover, Mt. Joy also opened for renowned indie bands like The Shins, Whitney, and the Revivalists.
In 2017, the band signed with Dualtone Records and released “Cardinal.” The song was followed by the gold-certified single and their biggest hit, “Silver Lining,” which became the band’s highest charting single after it topped Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart. Mt. Joy’s 2016 to 2018 singles were all featured in the band’s eponymous debut album, released in 2018. Two years later, the band finally broke through the Billboard 200 upon releasing their sophomore effort, Rearrange Us. The album spawned the indie hit “Strangers,” peaking at number 5 on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart.
This 2023, fans can anticipate a plethora of new songs from Mt. Joy’s latest groundbreaking album, Orange Blood. The third effort features the single “Lemon Tree,” which peaked at number 2 on the AAA chart, followed by the title track and “Evergreen.”
