Red Rocks is excited to welcome My Morning Jacket and MELT to the stage for the My Morning Jacket is On Tour 2025 Tour. Catch the groups rocking out on the best stage in America, right here, on Friday August 15th with all your friends and other fans! The tour features 44 dates from the early summer to the late fall - including five (now sold out) dates in their hometown of Louisville Kentucky, and two back to back dates here at Red Rocks.
My Morning Jacket formed in 1998 with a mission to make country psychedelic and to turn the structure of a rock song on its head for all of our ears. Since their debut album The Tennessee Fire back in 1999, the group has captivated hungry fans and rockers around the world. The group is composed of lead guitarist and singer Jim Jones, bassist Tom Blankenship, Carl Broemel, Bo Koster on the keys, and drummer Pat Hallahan.
Their live performances are fun and experimental, and fans rave about their favorite times seeing the band and how their shows are some of the best concerts they’ve ever witnessed. That experimental flair has always been a key characteristic of the group - their second album Dawn had airy and hypnotic vocals that were recorded in a grain silo by lead singer James, and marked the group's everlasting appeal. You never know what they will pop out with from their discography - and that’s why seeing them live is so important.
Opening for the rock legends is MELT, an indie pop and soft rock band formed in NYC around 2017. They’ve seen viral and lasting success for their song Sour Candy, and their debut 2024 album If There Is A Heaven was met with positive reviews and critical acclaim. Though new, their instrumentation and hard hitting lyrics have captured the hearts of millions - and their thousands of screaming fans are excited to catch them on tour opening up for MMJ - and we are, too!
This string of shows is going to be absolutely insane and definitely one for the books. Quite frankly we’re ready to get to The Rocks and transcend, and we know you are too!
