Pretty Lights – Saturday at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Anybody who live and breathes EDM knows that when Pretty Lights came out two decades ago, the hot new music project was ahead of its time. They used to be a duo, led by music producer Derek Smith but now, Sith goes solo on this year long party titled the Soundship Spacesystem 2024 Check Your Vector Tour! If you don't already know, Pretty Lights dropped some of the most trailblazing staples – the 2010s were basically a melting pot of its phenomenal hits, like “Rainbow & Waterfalls,” “Lost and Found,” “Pretty Lights vs The End of the World.” The group’s music was so innovative that the legendary Rick Rubin defined the group as the new face of American EDM.

True enough, Pretty Lights was pretty much responsible for the hottest remixes, as well as new singles. Pulling influences from their idols Beastie Boys, Wu-Tang Clan, The Roots, and more, this brilliant act organically fused their love for hip-hop, dance music, and soul. The duo performed live with Smith as lead with outstanding band members on drums and keyboards. It wasn’t long before Pretty Lights were hailed as one of the riveting live EDM acts in the circuit. With a brilliant catalog, the project served up a storm of his from 2005 to 2018.
