Dominating the scene with their breakout hit record "I and Love and You" back in 2009, The Avett Brothers became a staple favorite in the American Folk music landscape. With albums and singles that stay true to their roots – with a little blend of rock & roll, The Avett Brothers have amassed various recognitions including three Grammy Award nominations. As summer comes right around the corner, the band just announced a set of shows at the iconic Red Rocks for their yearly summer tradition, marking their 33rd to 35th shows at the famed amphitheater.
Though breaking into the scene in 2009 for "I and Love and You", The Avett Brothers marked their footsteps in the scene since the year 2000. Fueled by passion, The Avett Brothers took years of making their music known, getting its much-deserved recognition.
With a hit major label debut in 2009, the band followed up their success with their next album "The Carpenter" in 2012, hitting the top fourth spot on the Billboard 200. The album featured another set of fan favorites – "Live and Die" and "February Seven".
Amassing a fan base of folk-rock aficionados of over two decades in the industry, The Avett Brothers continues to create their craft of honest lyrics, and alluring instrumentals that exude their distinct flavor of harmony.
In August 2020, the band released "The Third Gleam" – the third installment of their Gleam series of EPs, which are essential stripped-down acoustic albums. The Third Gleam explores the brothers' roots, serving music that'll get you thinking back to the reason why you fell in love with the band in the first place.
The brothers' most recent LP release was 2019's "Closer Than Together" which produced hit singles "High Steppin" and "Tell the Truth". Hinting at a forthcoming album, the brothers shared a call for unity, as music connects every human being.
"We're very close to finishing the new record," they shared. "I believe like music is the perfect way to access that connection."
