The Avett Brothers at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

American folk powerhouse, The Avett Brothers is a sensational quartet led by Seth and Scott Avett. The band’s genre-defying music has consistently charted on the Billboard 200 and Top Folk Albums since their major label debut in 2009. The Avett Brothers’ members perform various instruments, and their music blends several genres, such as folk, country, punk, pop, bluegrass, and more.

In 2007, the band released their highly-regarded independent album, Emotionalism. After entering four Billboard charts and topping the Heatseeker Albums, the album served as their breakthrough record. Their exemplary work with the record earned them the Emerging Artist of the Year and Duo/Group of the Year awards at the American Music Honors & Awards. Meanwhile, Emotionalism earned a nomination for Album of the year.

Two years later, The Avett Brothers released their major label debut, I and Love and You. The critically-acclaimed record entered the Billboard 200, peaking at number 6. Moreover, the effort also topped the Folk Albums and peaked at number 7 on the Top Rock Albums chart. In 2012, the band released their seventh effort, The Carpenter. The critically-acclaimed work soared through the Billboard 200, peaking at number 4. The following year, the album earned the band its first Grammy nomination under Best Americana Album. This remarkable feat was repeated in 2017 when The Avett Brother’s 2016 effort, True Sadness, earned a Grammy nod for Best Americana Album. Meanwhile, the lead single, “Ain’t No Man,” earned a nomination for Best American Root Performance.
