Starting off their career back in 2016, the group originated as a cover band in Mobile Alabama, As the group began to release more of their own original work, they made the choice to rebrand as The Red Clay Strays and start performing at bigger theatres. Upon their start, the group continued to play locally in smaller venues across the southeastern United States and built up a local following, signing with management company Outrage Management in 2019.
Due to Covid, the group had to take a step back from touring, to which they did not stay idle, as they still continued to meet up and write more original songs so that when they had their inevitable return to the stage they would blow the crowds away with the best they can do. By 2023 The Red Clay Strays started building traction on social media, with snippets of their song "Wondering Why" going viral and circulating over all streaming platforms. This gained them massive attention and popularity and lead to a global fan base well in to Millions. This song became their first appearance on the Billboard Charts when it debuted on the Hot Rock and Alternative Songs chart at number 33.
The Red Clay Strays have been absolutely phenomenal with their live stage performances and appearances, but with that they have also maintained a consistent media presence for all their fans unable to attend these events. Growing their channels over time by the thousands each day. Most notably their YouTube channel which has amassed to a whopping one hundred and fifty five thousand subscribers and videos reaching over 10 million views. But the platform that steals the show is their Spotify Account which in its years has grown to an outstanding average of 7.2 Million monthly listeners with their hit song "Wondering Why" reaching a record high for them of well over 218 Million streams so far.
