The tour is in support of their much awaited album - Model.
Throughout North America, Europe, and the UK, the band will be performing in the biggest rooms they have ever played during their global tour. The tour concludes on October 22 at Alexandra Palace in London, United Kingdom. It begins on August 6 at Alaska Airlines’ Theater of the Clouds in Portland, Oregon.
The news of the tour comes after Wallows made a spectacular comeback last month with the release of "Your Apartment," the lead single off their upcoming album Model and their biggest-ever streaming debut. The release date of "Calling After Me," the second single, is set for March 21. You can already pre-order/pre-save the John Congleton-produced album, and it will be released on May 24th via Atlantic Records. The model will be physically available on CD, clear cassette, limited edition "sunset" vinyl (a three-color mix of lemon, tangerine, and apple), and regular clear vinyl only through Wallows' web store.
Wallows was also very creative in how they announced their tour. They announced the news of a worldwide tour along with a short film featuring all three members and Benee, who will open for the band on their North American tour.
Dylan Minette says, “I can confidently say this is the first time that I’m really anticipating a tour announcement. I’m more nervous than ever — but not in a negative way. I know it’s going to go well. I know our fans show up but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it every day.”
Since they were eleven years old, Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters, and Cole Preston make up Wallows. Nearly two decades ago, they started performing music together on the LA music program Join the Band, and they haven't stopped since. The group released Tell Me That It's Over, their sophomore album, in March 2022. Ariel Rechtshaid, a three-time GRAMMY Award winner (Vampire Weekend, Haim, Adele), produced the record. Wallows continued their constantly changing path of sound experimentation, combining a wide range of musical concepts into their own unique creative vision, ranging from lo-fi post-punk and indie-folk to early '90s dance-pop psychedelia.
